Middle East has been the Greener part of Life for many Kenyan Young ladies and Gentlemen. Most of the young Kenyan Citizens have shifted gear to go to those countries for better earning and boost their living standards back here at home since most of them come from a poor background and have lacked Jobs here in Kenya. Lured by the promise of well-paid work and a chance to escape joblessness at home, hundreds of thousands of Kenyans are thought to be employed in the Middle East, sending much-needed money to their families every Month.
Dubai being one of the safest places with Best and most protective lawas about Immigrants has it the Headlines as one young lady has been killed on the hands of her employer. It's with great sadness I have to announce the news; our Kenyan Sister Edith Mumbi is no more. Just few Hours, Peris Njambi her cousin/best friend back in Kenya and very close to Mumbi's family broke the news to Us. The Ministry Of Foreign Affairs contacted the family today and here is the report about Edith's mysterious death in Dubai.
Report:
The Ministry Of Foreign Affairs message to the family when they contacted them and I quote "On May 10th 2016, a gang of Thieves/Murderers attacked the family she was working for in Dubai. As the thieves were in the house robbing her Boss, Edith Mumbi, in the process of trying to protect her Employer's children, got stabbed multiple times by the thugs. She was later admitted at the Hospital where she later died of which her body has been lying at the Mortuary for nearly a month."
Contradicting Statement
According to the above information delivered to the family from Dubai through the The Ministry Of Foreign Affairs, there are many open questions to this case namely that makes the death of Edith a mystery
- Mumbi was first reported "Missing", and Cops were calling, interrogating people and hinting on "Kidnapping".
- If she really was Stabbed on May 10th 2016 trying to protect the children, how comes the Employer never notified anyone including the Police in Dubai.
- Couldn't Mumbi's family been informed earlier and not 4 weeks later? She has been in the mortuary for a month now, why file a "MISSING REPORT" if all this happened in the employer's house? Why? That is the golden question.
The family has tried to reach the Agent who took her to Dubai, but their efforts are not baring any fruiuts since the lady by the name TrizahWanjiku she is no where to seen. And no one knows the employer name of where Edith was working
Edith Mumbi has left behind a 4 year old daughter. This is very painful! May the almighty GOD rest Mumbi in Eternal Peace. Amen!!
